About the Group:
We are your local scout group for boys and girls of all ages, regardless of religion, or race. We meet in the heart of Braunstone, on the Braunstone Lane, in a building full of character. We rely completely on volunteers to run our friendly group and welcome all new help and members.

After renting "The Barn" the last 70 years, we managed to finally purchase the freehold in October 2023. We held a day of celebration in April this year, with Mr Julian Everard, from our landlords, generously coming along to cut the ribbon. Members past and present were in attendance, looking at some of our memorabilia and meeting current volunteers. This secures the future for the group in the heart of Braustone for generations to come.
This year we are
75 Years old

On Monday 1st April, Our Beaver Scouts visited Southern Leicester Fire & Rescue Station. The Visit was a hands on tour and demo of all the items the Fire fighters use every day.
The tour ended with the Beavers each having a go with a high powered water hose. Surprisingly no Beavers (or Leaders) got wet during this!
A big thank you to Red Watch at Southern Leicester Fire & Rescue Station for their time.
The 4th Leicester Scouts managed to get a speeding ticket at the recent Mounsorrel Revival soap box race, we were the fastest cart, pushed and driven by Allistair and Peter Kesby, in the official police speed trap area on the last fast straight.
We missed out on the Final overall race by just 6tenths of a second, being beaten by amongst others Loughborough College Engineering and a works team from Mounsorrel Honda!!, we have already said that we will be back next year to try again with a new cart.
