Fire Station Visit.

On Monday 1st April, Our Beaver Scouts visited Southern Leicester Fire & Rescue Station. The Visit was a hands on tour and demo of all the items the Fire fighters use every day.

The tour ended with the Beavers each having a go with a high powered water hose. Surprisingly no Beavers (or Leaders) got wet during this!

A big thank you to Red Watch at Southern Leicester Fire & Rescue Station for their time.

Welcome

About the Group:

We are your local scout group for boys and girls of all ages, regardless of religion, or race. We meet in the heart of Braunstone, on the Braunstone Lane, in a building full of character. We rely completely on volunteers to run our friendly group and welcome all new help and members.

Scouts get a speeding Ticket!!

The 4th Leicester Scouts managed to get a speeding ticket at the recent Mounsorrel Revival soap box race, we were the fastest cart, pushed  and driven by Allistair and Peter Kesby, in the official police speed trap area on the last fast straight.

We missed out on the Final overall race by just 6tenths of a second, being beaten by amongst others Loughborough College Engineering and a works team from Mounsorrel Honda!!, we have already said that we will be back next year to try again with a new cart.

New Tents

We have recently bought 4 new tents  and showed them off at our Parents v's Kids rounders match and AGM. The money came from the district Charity shop on Narborough Road in Leicester and it was felt that it should benefit all members of the group, they are all 5 person outwell tents and have replace some of our older and leaking tents!!
